The Kenya Kite Festival was first conceived in 2012. It aims to create as a space where the young and young at heart can come together and have some wholesome fun. The first of its kind in East Africa, it has grown over the years garnering more and more interest in the activity. The 6th edition of the Kenya Kite Festival was held on Sunday 6th May 2018. Despite heavy rainfall that was experienced over the weeks leading up to the event, young and old braved the muddy conditions to make it the most successful edition yet.
